Mike Heaphy

The first professional job was back in 1971. After years of playing clubs the band graduated to opening for established performers. Mike and the band opened for such names as Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash, Margo Smith, and Ricky Nelson. Mike also spend some time in Dallas and Austin opening for the Flying Burrito Brothers.
In 1980 Mike hooked up with Steve Forbert, did a tour up and down the East coast and was featured on the CD release "The Best of Steve Forbert."

It was also about this time he played many cities in Europe. Five tours in Norway, four in Switzerland, and the Troubadour In London. By far the best European show was for Prince Rainier and the Royal Family of Monaco in Monte-Carlo. With the release of the

CD "infinite heart" in 1996, Mike has been concentrating on originals, though the performance of cover tunes does not suffer. The list of cover tunes range from early Country, like Hank Willimas to Johnny Cash. Merle Haggard, Elvis, The Everly Brothers, a wide variety of "Rock-a-Billy" up through Blues Rock and Folk Rock in the style of Bob Dylan.
